Sometimes, it really is true

For our Spring break, we decided to take off and relax at the River.  And of course while there is nothing much to do there except relax, and our favorite activity eat!

After we started snacking, I was searching for a chip clip to keep the tostito's fresh.

No one likes stale chips!

And as luck would have it, there was nothing anywhere to be found!

Nothing!

So, that's when I realized that the saying really is true!

Necessity is definitely the mother of invention.

And by chance, I happened to have a cork.

I know, who would believe it?

So after a few adjustments.

Voila!!

Easy peasy chip clip!

Stripes!!

This past weekend I decided to paint the hallway bathroom, it was repainted last year but I wanted to spiff it up a little.

We taped it off, and I used my ASCP, hey, the can says you can use it on walls so why not.

Here it is finished but not put together.

And now it's all put back together.

I am loving it!

Sunday Scripture

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,
for the rights of all who are destitute.
Speak up and judge fairly;
defend the rights of the poor and the needy.

Favorite books

When my kids were little I loved reading books to them.

We would sit in my glider rocker and read and read and read.  We sometimes read till I got to the point that I had to say, OK, this is the last time.

No more after this.

Some of my favorite books to read to them were, The Giving tree.

I love, love, love that book.

Before my kids were born I would read this book to my nephew, Brandon.

He absolutely loved it!

I actually think I still have it I loved it so much.

I think this one was my sons favorite.

We would read it over and over.

Baby Girl use to like Chicka Chicka Boom boom.

I really like to read, I always have, I guess I was hoping to instill a love of reading for them too.
