Night Out!

Last night Mr. Wonderful decided we should go to the movies.

Sounds innocent enough doesn't it, but for him, it's strange.

He's not the kind of guy who likes going to the movies, so naturally when he says
we should go, I jump all over it.

So we head out for a night with Denzel and Mark.

Needless to say it was awesome, and full of action so Mr. Wonderful
was loving it too.

Ramblings

Well, I know I haven't blogged much lately, but I just couldn't think of anything interesting that anyone might want to hear.

This weekend I did start a small project that I will be showing you later.  Just a little painting but I can't wait to show you how it looks finished.

You might like it.

Mr. Wonderful has been striper fishing again.  This time was a bust.  Absolutely NO fish.  But on the up side, he really did catch enough last time he went so we aren't hurting for fish.

This weekend we watched this.

What's your number?

Not appropriate for kids, but so funny!   I mean really funny!

I have been looking at pinterest  at stenciled walls.

Really liking that look.

Might try it.

Movie Review!

This weekend, Mr. Wonderful and baby boy went down east to do a little fishing.

Well, you know the old saying,  While the cat's away. . . .  me and baby girl will play!!!

She has been asking to go to the movies but I just didn't want to see Charlie St. Cloud.  I am sure it is a good movie, but it looked a little sad and I don't really want to pay $8 to go sit in the theater and cry.  So I talked her into something even better.

The Other Guys!!!!

What did we have to lose?  Will Ferrell is super funny and Mark Wahlberg was easy to look at.  So you can safely say it had something for everyone.

It was well worth my money, I thoroughly enjoyed it.  So did BG!  It was funny and it even had a good story.

So I'd give it a definite Thumbs up!!!!

Still Working!

I have worked on my coffee table all weekend, well, in between ball practice, and church, and other stuff.  I can't wait to show you the pictures, I love it and I think you're gonna love it.

Also, I have to tell you I watched Julie and Julia this weekend.
And, I loved it.

Whip It!!! Whip it Good, Whip it real Good!!!

This weekend, BG and I went to see this movie. It was rated PG-13, for Language, and a little skin, but nothing naked. I have to say that I loved Ellen Page in Juno. I thought she was just the funniest thing. You know how some people have that dry sense of humor, and they are funny in a sarcastic kind of way, well that's the way she is. But while some people just look like a smart aleck, she pulls it off really well.

It has a good story. You know the classic high school kids who don't exactly fit in with the "cool" kids. But she finally finds something she is good at and excels at it!! I have to say it really brought back memories of Roll-A-Bout Skating ring, on Bicentennial quarter night. Man, how long ago has that been? (I know, a really, really, long time ago.) I started thinking too, when was Roller Derby big? 70's? I really don't know, I didn't watch it, and vaguely remember anything about it. Maybe it was when wrestling was big.

Speaking of wrestling that reminds me of a story, I actually know a guy who loves, loves, loves, Rick Flair. Woooo!!! Anyway, once he went to a wrestling match and stole his wrestling belt. Yes, the big, gold, shiny belt that they all wave in the air because they are great wrestlers.
The Championship belt!!!! He still has it today, because he isn't a teenager anymore either people. Sometimes, if you are really good, he will show it to you!

If you haven't seen this yet, it is soooooo good!

Get out a little, see a movie with your kids, just don't go skating and break your wrist!! Hee, Hee, that really did happen. It sucks to get old!!

What was he thinking?

Last night, we decided at the last minute to get Chinese take out. Well, the decision was pretty much made for us because the kids decided to eat all the leftovers when they got home from school so instead of having sandwiches, we opted for Chinese.
On the way to pick up the food, hubby and I were having a conversation about watching a movie.
Here's how it went.
The movie by the way was Wanted.
Hubby: I asked Mr.T (friend who gave him the movie) if there was anything bad in the movie, you know since the kids would be watching it with us, and he said No, just a butt shot.
Me: Is it a Man butt shot or a Woman Butt shot?
Hubby: Woman, Angelina Jolie to be exact.
Me: Why don't they ever show a good looking man's butt? That's just not fair, bunch of male chauvinist!!!
Hubby: Honey, you have a good looking man you can see naked anytime you want!

Well, when I finally quit laughing. I guess he was right, that just wasn't the answer I was looking for.

By the way, movie not exactly what you want your teenager to be watching, way too much profanity,
several love scenes, if you catch my drift, and a lot of shoot em' in the head, stab em' in the chest kind of scenes. In all fairness, Mr. T has no children so in an adults view, I guess the butt shot was the most graphic thing.
Tonight is bible study, so tomorrow I might give you something to think about.
