Night Out!

Last night Mr. Wonderful decided we should go to the movies.

Sounds innocent enough doesn't it, but for him, it's strange.

He's not the kind of guy who likes going to the movies, so naturally when he says
we should go, I jump all over it.

So we head out for a night with Denzel and Mark.

Needless to say it was awesome, and full of action so Mr. Wonderful
was loving it too.

A foodie and a Food truck

This past weekend, Mr. Wonderful and I spent some quality time together at the local
Co-op Farmers Market.

They were having several different food trucks and a band, so we really want to go check it out.

And it turned out, we really enjoyed it.

I think I've mentioned before that Mr. Wonderful loves to cook.

Loves it! (I've mentioned being on Hell's Kitchen, but I think he would mouth off to Mr. Ramsey and get into quite a bit of trouble.)

So anyway, one of the main reasons he wanted to go was to check out the Food trucks.

I think there were 6 or 7 there, can't remember for sure.

We got there about the time it was looking like rain, so there wasn't really a crowd.

Sorry about my finger.

They even had a band,
and though I didn't know who they were, they were good.

We split a sandwich from one of the Food trucks and it was great!

It was all cheesy and toasted, and gooey, and downright tasty!

Of course when we left we were discussing the option of maybe getting a food truck instead of opening a restaurant.

Mr. Wonderful is quite the dreamer.

I like that about him.

Ooooops!

It's amazing how as you get older you start to realize that all that stuff your parents said to you is true.

Like when I was little and thought the days just dragged on, and my mom would say, just wait, you'll see, time goes by so fast.

And she was right, it really does.

Which brings me to how I didn't acknowledge Mr. Wonderful on here for Father's day.

I hope you know how much we love you and what a great dad you are!!

Secrets to a Happy Marriage

Start off with your own Mr. Wonderful.

Combine that with a great Tennessee get away.

A nice cottage, and a great view.

 Beautiful, scenery!

All the elements you need for a nice relaxing get-a-way!

The driveway was unpaved, a single lane, and super super steep!!

I think we were pretty much at the top of the mountain.

And last but certainly not least, the highlight of the trip.

The Bear!

If that doesn't make you snuggle up with your hubby, nothing will!

One Potato, Two potato

This year I talked Mr. Wonderful into planting some Sweet Potato's.

I really really like sweet potato's, and couldn't wait to reap the benefits.

He told me he only dug up two plants because he wanted to see how they were doing.

I thought they looked pretty good considering we had never planted them before.

I just wish they would have gotten a little bigger.

Happy Fathers Day!!

Happy Father's Day!!

You are such a great husband I always knew you would be a wonderful father.

You are patient and understanding, not just with the kids but with me as well.  You are encouraging when I come up with a project that you have to help me with, and you don't really complain about it.

You are a loving father.

You have always put family first and they will remember it one day, even if they don't think about it that much right now.

You are never too busy to take time to play with your kids.  Even after long days at work, you still have time for your family.

You always make time for things they love, even when it takes us away for weekends at a time.

You have shown them the rewards of hard work and how good it can make you feel.

Happy fathers day to a dad who deserves a great one!
You teach them even when you don't realize it, and they may not act like it now, but they will appreciate it when they have kids of their own.
