New faces

Baby boy's girlfriend is a beautician.  It's official, she's passed all her tests and she had these mannequin heads that she had no use for anymore.

So being the kindhearted person that I am, I told her to bring them over,
because at this house everyone is welcome.

So let me introduce you.

Sam

Candy

Tess

Sophie

When she was telling me she was going to get rid of them I told her I would like
to use them for Halloween props.  She gladly brought them over.

So this Halloween party will definitely be one to remember,

right girls?

And just because I could, after I got them, they all got their hair washed.

Candy's make up is permanent so there is no fixing that.

Notice Sam has her name tattooed to her neck.

I am seriously thinking of cutting her hair also, hers seem to lack style don't you think?

They have all found their way to my bathroom which Mr. Wonderful is having a hard time dealing with, he feels like he is being watched.

I can't imagine why can you?

I guess I will have to find them a new home.

You are loved!!!

I hope everyone has a great valentine's day, but more than that, I hope you know you are loved!!

Because you are.

And just because I had to do this myself today. . .

Nothing says happy valentine's day like that does it?

It comes in many forms.

When I came across the Pride poem in Praying God's Word it really made me stop and think.  What I saw as one thing was just pride in disguise.

It's amazing to me how we rationalize things in our head to make ourselves look like the victim when all along it is pride controls our thoughts and that's not what should be controlling us at all.

I have to admit when I first started this book it talked a lot about spiritual strongholds, and I didn't really get it at first.

Now, I get it.

It's all those things that we struggle with giving to the One who is in control anyway.

Like anger, and envy, and shame, and despair, and not being able to forgive.

So once again, I was given the lesson of humility.

It was a humbling experience that I won't forget.

My Name is Pride

My name is Pride.  I am a cheater.

I cheat you of your God-given destiny. . . .because you demand your own way.

O cheat you of contentment. . . because you "deserve better than this."

I cheat you of knowledge. . . because you already know it all.

I cheat you of healing. . . because you're too full of me to forgive.

I cheat you of holiness. . . because you refuse to admit when you're wrong.

I cheat you of vision. . . because you'd rather look in the mirror than out the window.

I cheat you of genuine friendship. . .because nobody's going to love the real you.

I cheat you of love. . .because real romance demands sacrifice.

I cheat you of greatness in heaven. . . because you refuse to wash another's feet on earth.

I cheat you of God's glory . . .because I convince you to seek your own.

My name is Pride, and I am a cheater.

You like me because you think I'm always looking out for you.  Untrue.

I'm looking to make a fool of you.

God has so much for you, I admit, but don't worry. . .if you stick with me,

You'll never know it.

Week 3

It's week three can you believe it?

I can't.  This weeks challenge is to come up with creative date idea's.

Hmmmm, could be interesting.

I have to admit, our idea of a date, is watching our daughter's basketball game, then picking up a pizza on the way home.

Basically, we are homebodies, Mr. Wonderful is quite the chef, so I would just as soon stay home and let him fix me supper rather than go out and spend way more for a so-so supper.

Know what I mean?

So I am going to have to come up with something pretty exciting to get us off the couch.

But hey, that's why they call it a challenge, right?

Sunday Scripture

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory, glory as of the begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
