Ramblings

Well, I know I haven't blogged much lately, but I just couldn't think of anything interesting that anyone might want to hear.

This weekend I did start a small project that I will be showing you later.  Just a little painting but I can't wait to show you how it looks finished.

You might like it.

Mr. Wonderful has been striper fishing again.  This time was a bust.  Absolutely NO fish.  But on the up side, he really did catch enough last time he went so we aren't hurting for fish.

This weekend we watched this.

What's your number?

Not appropriate for kids, but so funny!   I mean really funny!

I have been looking at pinterest  at stenciled walls.

Really liking that look.

Might try it.

Grace

As a gift I was given this book.

Let me just say it was awesome!  And honestly it was exactly what I needed to hear.

If you like to read or just want something that will make you feel truly blessed.

Read it!

This book will explain God's grace in an amazingly simple way that even I could understand.  We all like receiving it but we don't always give it out as freely as we should.  Of course I am speaking of myself.

Favorite quote from the book.

It's not your grace.
It's not my grace.
It's Gods' grace.
And it's for everybody.

Words to live by.

Sunday Scripture

Trust the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways, acknowledge him and he shall direct thy path.

Who's Hungry?

This year as I made out my Christmas list, I had said I wanted a Hungry girl cook book.

Yes, we make lists in our house to make shopping easier.

And guess what?

Got it!

I have been going through it like crazy trying to find somethings that I think everyone in the house will like.

But even better, I got this.

This is the key to knowing exactly what to but when you go to the store.  I love it, she gives substitutes for different foods and it really makes eating healthy doable.

So, don't be surprised to come back to see a hungry girl recipe that I have done and loved!

I have tried several of the breakfast recipes and so far they are fantastic!

Any one else out there hungry?

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

I can't believe you are 17!

Really?

Has it been 17 years since we brought that sweet little curly haired girl home from the hospital?

It really doesn't seem like you should be that old.

So, just for the fun of it, here are 17 things that I love about you.

1.  Your honesty.  (Sometimes that can get us into trouble but I love that about you.)
2.  Your a self motivator, and while at 17 you may not think much of that but it will come in handy and you get older.
3.  You are not afraid to try new things.  This too will come in handy later on.
4.  Even at 17, you still like to hang out with your family.  Maybe not all the time, but I think you still enjoy our company.
5.  You are compassionate to others.  It is a wonderful quality to have.
6.  I love your hair.  At your age I paid good money for hair like that.
7.  You are a hard worker and not afraid to get your hands dirty.
8.  You know that true beauty comes from the inside.
9.  You are a very good judge of character, even though I don't always give you enough credit for that.
10.  You are the least lazy teenager I know.
11.  You have a great big heart!
12.  You feel bad when you hurt someones feelings and that says a lot about your character.
13.  If you say you will do something, then I know I can count on you to do it.  That one will get you a long way in life.
14.  I love how you still like to watch movies and shows with me.
15.  You are the first one to get ready and always push me to be on time.
16.  You love Jesus.
17.  You make me want to be the best mom I can, you are so encouraging, loving, faithful, and just make being your mom my pleasure.

I love you!!

1st Project of 2012

I haven't been able to blog lately because I left my camera at my mother-in-laws house over Christmas.

I know that I could have blogged anyway and I did, but I really wanted to get my camera back so I could show you this.

Isn't it awesome?

And I didn't even do it.

Baby boy did it all by himself, he was kind enough to let me hang it in the living room.

I had to move some pictures around but I really like how it ended up.  So, while it wasn't mine it does hang in my house so even though I didn't technically make it I am calling it because it's in my house.

Besides, I gave him credit.

Happy New Year!!!

I know, I'm a little late with that.

But I have just been so busy with Christmas and kids, and husbands that get time off.

It threw me behind.

Any resolutions this year?

How about a New Year's prayer.

And I pray that you and all God's holy people will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ's love-how wide and how long and how high and how deep that love is.
Ephesians 3:18
