Last Post of the Year

I really can't believe it's already December 31st.

Really, where has the time gone?

Am I that old that time seems to go by so quickly?  Nah, I didn't think so either.

But it does seem to go by a lot faster than it use to.  So fast, that I find that I don't have time for blogging.  But I do seem to make time for Pinterest.

Hmmmm, sounds odd doesn't it?

Anyway, with a new year starting, I am going to try to make more time for things that
I have been neglecting.

So with that said,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

I hope 2015 is filled with blessings and good things for all of you!

Looking back at 2013

Can you believe that this is the last day of 2013?

December 31st?  Really?

What about new years resolutions?

Got any?  I'm not really sure if I'm going to participate in resolutions this year.  I think last year I set a few goals that I wanted to accomplish, and I think I got some of them done.
But I don't like to set myself up for failure if you know what I mean so if I do set any
goals this year, they will be simple and hopefully easy to keep.

When I was thinking back on all that's happened this year I was trying to think
about what I learned from everything.

My son and his fiancee set a date to get married so that has been a change for us, but if he's happy, and I like her so I am pretty happy.
That said, I want him to be ready for what awaits him.
Not a lot I can do at this point except pray for him and his new bride and trust Jesus.

This year, most of my family has maintained their health so that is a great blessing.
After a year or so of some bad health, maintaining is awesome!

My sweet baby girl started college, still doesn't know what she wants to be when she grows up, but she's trying to narrow down the field.

Man, it's hard to be a grown up!

I started helping with our youth group which I never thought I would love as much as
I do!  That has been awesome!

I have felt the last 3 months like time has been flying by, there are days when I feel I don't have 5 minutes to myself, so I would like to try to carve out some ME time.

Maybe that will be one of my goals.

Although when I try to do something for me, I sometimes feel a little selfish when
I do that, so maybe I'll just try not to be so selfish.

Happy New Year!!!

I know, I'm a little late with that.

But I have just been so busy with Christmas and kids, and husbands that get time off.

It threw me behind.

Any resolutions this year?

How about a New Year's prayer.

And I pray that you and all God's holy people will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ's love-how wide and how long and how high and how deep that love is.
Ephesians 3:18

Do you make resolutions?

I have to say, some years I don't make any type of goals, or resolutions for myself at all.  But this past year was such  a whirlwind that I have decided to set some goals for myself.

Maybe if I write them out where everyone can see them I will feel a little more pressure to actually carry through.

So here goes.

I am going to give more in 2011.  (Yes, I did take the Radical challenge!)

I want to make sure to set aside a certain amount of time for just me and my husband.  That may sound corny, but I still have two teenagers at home and we really get very little time by ourselves.

I want to read through the entire bible in a year.  (I don't have any kind of plan I am just winging it.)

I want to get rid of stuff I don't need.  We have so much stuff that we honestly don't use, but I start to get rid of it then I think to myself this is still good. (It's a vicious cycle.)

Also, I am really going to try to tackle some projects.  I need to paint, I want to get a new floor, but I want to do it on a budget.  Not going to be easy, but anything is possible.
