Changing times

Whew, where does the time go, right?  I know, it's been too long, and honestly I don't really have any excuses except that I have had some changes which I am about to tell you.  I also didn't really feel like I had anything worth talking about.  

As I was saying that yesterday, I read a blog about something random that happened and it was so funny I laughed my head off.  Really funny.  So that made me think what happens to me might just be more interesting than I thought.

So, since I've been gone my sweet baby boy has gotten married.

And it was awesome!

His bride wanted a beach wedding, so guess what?  

She got it!

It couldn't have been any more perfect.  It wasn't too hot, it was around 78 and a little breezy, but it was just perfect.

This is the sweet bride with her parents.  I can't tell you what great people they are, it was such fun helping all of them with the wedding.  

We were so lucky that our Pastor was able to marry them, he is such a great person and he is retiring this month and I hate to see him leave.  He has been such a great teacher and inspiration to me.

We were so lucky my mom and my Aunt (who is like a second mother to me) were able to go.

My son's best friend since birth practically was with us also, and I would just like to say some girl will never have a dull moment with this guy.  He is awesome!

We had such a great time, it was truly a celebration!!!!

We are blessed to be such a close family and I love that about us, the new bride loves it too.  

While it was sad to let go of our sweet boy, we gained a wonderful daughter and we love them beyond measure.

One of the things that stands out the most in my mind about the day is when we were all at the house getting ready to leave for the beach and my husband wanted to pray for the new couple and it was so sweet.  

So, that's what I've been doing, letting go of the past and moving on into the future.  I had a boss once who told me young people shouldn't have a problem with change it's the older ones who have a hard time moving on.   I suppose that's true, but I guess I was ready for a little change.  I am learning to celebrate the now, exactly where I am at this moment, and it's pretty good.

Weekend Ramblings

Whew!!

What a weekend!

Sweet Baby boy turned 21, the dog hasn't been eating, and Baby girl is mad she
has to work every weekend.

Yea, sounds rough doesn't it.

We (meaning mostly Mr. Wonderful) has been working so hard to get our floors done.
I can't wait to show them to you.

Just a preview.

This is in the kitchen and we did the living room, kitchen and hallway.
But we are minutes away from being done!

We cooked out for the boy's birthday with family and friends, that is always
a good time.

The dog got probed at the Vet's office to make sure he didn't have heart worms, and he doesn't.  

That's good news.

And Sunday was filled with church, and family time and more church so all in all
we had a very full, yet productive weekend.

I can't believe it's been 21 years since we were blessed with such a sweet baby boy!

I hope you have an amazing birthday, you are so loved and we couldn't be prouder of you.

New faces

Baby boy's girlfriend is a beautician.  It's official, she's passed all her tests and she had these mannequin heads that she had no use for anymore.

So being the kindhearted person that I am, I told her to bring them over, 
because at this house everyone is welcome.

When she was telling me she was going to get rid of them I told her I would like

to use them for Halloween props.  She gladly brought them over.

So this Halloween party will definitely be one to remember, 

right girls?

And just because I could, after I got them, they all got their hair washed.

Candy's make up is permanent so there is no fixing that.

Notice Sam has her name tattooed to her neck.

I am seriously thinking of cutting her hair also, hers seem to lack style don't you think?

They have all found their way to my bathroom which Mr. Wonderful is having a hard time dealing with, he feels like he is being watched.

I can't imagine why can you?

I guess I will have to find them a new home.

1st Project of 2012

I haven't been able to blog lately because I left my camera at my mother-in-laws house over Christmas.

I know that I could have blogged anyway and I did, but I really wanted to get my camera back so I could show you this.

Isn't it awesome?

And I didn't even do it.

Baby boy did it all by himself, he was kind enough to let me hang it in the living room.

I had to move some pictures around but I really like how it ended up.  So, while it wasn't mine it does hang in my house so even though I didn't technically make it I am calling it because it's in my house.

Besides, I gave him credit.

Getting ready for Graduation!

This week has been kind of busy, because this Friday, my sweet baby boy graduates from high school.

 I know, I can't believe it either,  sniff, sniff.

But we have to let them grow up don't we?

Oh well, I'll have more pictures tomorrow of Mr. Wonderful's fishing trip.  These fish are definitely something to see!

I can't believe you are 18!  

I remember when you were born, we were on our way to the hospital and I think your father decided to hit every pot hole in the road.  Not to mention that he stopped to get a magazine on the way.

Like he was going to be reading while I was having a baby.  That's a laugh!   Hmmmph, men!


Anyway, we go to the hospital where unfortunately, while I was having what I thought at the time were major contractions, it turns out, it was about to get worse!

After a very long labor, you decided it was time to get out!  

That was then,
