What's Your Purpose?

Every Wednesday night we have a Bible study at our church and the latest topic is Rick Warrens Purpose Driven Life. I read it years ago and really wanted our Pastor to do a Bible study on it then but he just never got around to it. So our Pastor now, let's call him, ummm, John, he decided to do a study on it as he has done it at other churches in the past. I have to say it has been thoroughly enjoyable. I really love it! Our Pastor really knows the Bible and I love how he gives us all the detail stuff that the average Joe, like myself, doesn't usually know. So anyway, last night we discussed Love and what an important role it plays. We should love each other as he has loved us. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your mind, and all your soul. Your strong love for each other will prove to the world that you are my disciples. What powerful words. Sometimes Gods love is so much more than we can even imagine. God loves us so freely and so easily, yet sometimes we forget. We forget how he loves everyone, mean people, and all, he loves them just as much as he loves us. Why is it so hard for us to spend a little time helping someone? They say one of the best ways to show someone that you love them is to spend time with them. Time is precious to us all, we usually think we don't have enough time to do everything we think we need to do. How much time have you spent with your family? Friends? Kids?
Just something to think about.

  1. I like this post. It is so true. Our time seems so valuable to know, it's not really OUR time anyway. All we have belongs to Him. What better way to glorify Him than to use His time well spent!

  2. great post r. i have known you for many years and i feel like i would be a good judge of your character. you are living your post. you are always positive, caring, giving and unbelievably nice and happy mc.................
